Here at David Lewis we are looking for Volunteer Drivers!
We’re on the lookout for Volunteer Drivers to help the people we support get out and about and enjoy life — whether that’s heading to a sports event, catching a film, going swimming, meeting their friends, popping to a medical appointment, or simply enjoying a good old‑fashioned day out.
It’s a small commitment that makes a huge difference.
And this is where you come in… 👀
If you have a friend, family member, neighbour, or someone in your community who might love to volunteer their time in a genuinely meaningful way, please help us spread the word.
What does a Volunteer Driver do?
- Driving people we support to activities, appointments or events
- Supporting people to access opportunities outside their home
- Being the driver alongside a Support Worker (you won’t be on your own!)
- Encouraging independence and social inclusion
- Being a friendly, reassuring face along the way
It’s simple, flexible — and truly life‑enhancing for the people we support.
What we offer our volunteers:
- Full training
- Expenses paid
- Flexible hours to suit individual availability
- Shifts booked easily via the Sona app
- Ongoing support from our brilliant team
- The chance to give something back and feel part of something brilliant
What we’re looking for:
- Full, clean UK driving licence (held for 2+ years)
- Aged 21 or over
- Flexible and reliable
- Positive, can‑do attitude
- Willingness to complete relevant training
- Time on their hands and a desire to do something truly meaningful
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone to make a real, positive impact — even with just a small amount of their time.

Our celebration is for everyone, with music, fun and food. The show starts at 7:00 pm, but we recommend arriving by 6:00 pm to allocate parking

The hall is staffed between 9am and 11am on Monday mornings. At other times, please leave a message and we will get back to you.
If you are organizing a fundraising or other public event such as a meeting or class and would like to alert people in the local area, please let us know and we will publicise it free of charge on our website.
